WHAT IS WAHI?

In 1994, home inspectors throughout Wisconsin began meeting monthly to improve skills and to discuss with other inspectors what they had learned during the conduct of home inspections. In early 1995, we established our name as the Wisconsin Association of Home Inspectors, Incorporated (WAHI). Our goal is to improve the competency of home inspectors through training and professional interaction. Our monthly education programs focus on home inspections as well as industry concerns.

Currently, we have over 500 members and many of them are members of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI). Our members include engineers, builders, electricians, building tradesmen, journeymen, basement specialists, etc. Each of them is involved with the home inspection industry in one way or another.

We have elected officers and committees and are governed by a board of directors. We hold monthly business meetings, training programs and educational seminars.
Each of our programs is approved for continuing education credit toward the renewal of the state of Wisconsin registration. Our local chapter meetings are held monthly in the Fox Valley, Madison, Milwaukee, Central Wisconsin (Plover/Stevens Point), and Chippewa Valley areas.
