  This educational program meets the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professionals Services (DSPS) pre-licensing requirements.

  It is conducted in-person only and comprised of 2 components - classroom training and field training!

  Course Syllabus

  
  

        Classroom Training

  Initially you will learn the critical components of home inspecting in a classroom setting. This will consist of detailed presentations which will give you the information you need to succeed. 

  This portion of the course will address all home systems, the Wisconsin Standards of Practice and State Statutes, report writing, equipment needs and business management.    

  
  

  
  

  Field Training

  The latter part of the week will be hands-on, field training.  This segment will provide you with the "nuts and bolts" of being a professional home inspector.  We will show you what to look for, what a typical inspection must include to meet state requirements and how to best inform and educate your clients. WAHI’s training will give you the knowledge needed to feel confident in any and all situations.

  • Complimentary Trial Membership in WAHI (through June 2027) 
  • Optional: Complimentary attendance at the WAHI chapter meeting of your choice in the month of May or June. See the Events tab of the WAHI website and just show up!

  Cancellation Policy: 

  Cancellations made on or before April 15th will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations made on or after April 16th will receive a 60% refund.
